Auntie Viv is so ghetto… and I love every minute of it.
Auntie Viv decided to be a super fan of Venus Williams at the US Open Thursday night. She had all the white people looking at her like she was crazy… AND I’m sure she looked at them with a face I’m sure would have slayed my soul like a chopping block! Aaah, I can just see it now. Check below for the full story…
The last film credit you’d recognize from actress Vivica A. Fox was 2003′s Kill Bill. Since then it’s been a steady stream of C-list films, TV appearances and voiceover work. After Thursday night, she can add another role to her CV: “shrill lady obnoxiously cheering for Venus Williams at the 2012 U.S. Open.”
The actress was at the late-night classic cheering on Venus and, according to reports from @BenRothenberg and others, became noisily invested in the match as Venus pushed it deep into a third set. Photos show her hanging in the Moet suite before the match, so you do the math.
Frequently during the third set, fans watching at home could hear a woman yelling out during points. It was Vivica. “Trust me on that one,” wrote Rothenberg.
One time she cheered so loud in the middle of a point that it drew a stern rebuke from the chair umpire. He didn’t know it was Vivica making the noise, but we knew the stripper from Independence Day was the one causing trouble.
“NO IT WAS NO. NO IT WAS NOT!,” Vivica shouted at another shot that was called wide, according to the New York Times’ Rothenberg. Venus challenged and “Vivica was right,” he said.
When Venus broke in the third set, Vivica was “dancing with a glass of champagne raised high,” says Rothenberg. She also “punched the air like it owes her money.”
It was all for naught, as Angelique Kerber defeated Venus in three sets, 6-2, 5-7, 7-5. This is just how Vivica must have felt when she left Larry on Curb Your Enthusiasm.SOURCE: USA TODAY
